An unnamed female protagonist studies and describes the changes to her physical body as she changes and evolves after a mysterious environmental crisis that leaves her city in a state of perpetual hazard. Quarantined and cut off from the rest of the world (if such a world still exists), the city's surviving inhabitants are mutating and adapting to suit the harsh new environment. She adventures towards the border of the city to seek what might lurk beyond the hazard signs.
