There’s something about a sheet of paper

Pure, unstained and clean

It’s dried up and pressed down wood pulp

That can hold infinite dreams

Take a pen, pencil or even crayon to paper

and scrawl down your musings

Or take your implement, then draw even if the end result

Looks somewhat amusing

Some would state the pen is stronger than any fast scooter

For with pen and paper you can influence now plus the future

When you have the pen dance gracefully line by line,

Rung by rung writing out your unsung yearnings

Unearthed from mines deep within your soul
