It's a Monday morning back at the office

I'm striving to meet quotas with a will and a purpose

However, working for others eternally is not the end goal

Too much office time is draining to one's soul

At this time bills must be paid in a consistent flow

Bills come if the weather is rain, hail, sleet or snow

Our floor's copier needs more black toner

There's stacks of projects right next to the scanner

Is this the result of working hard in school?

A treadmill of effort that feels pointlessly cruel?

Well here I go into the deep stacks

Surviving to day's end with my hopes intact
