IMMORTOCRACY - Solving the Crisis in America (Exordium) (1)

Exordium
It may be time to let the old ways die and make a change in how we are governed. Fire all the politicians, but keep the government employees who actually do something and get things done. Place responsible, qualified administrators—rather than political appointees—in charge of making the government responsive to the pressing needs of the people and the planet. The writings in this book and the Constitution on which it is based are an outline and blueprint for real change. It would be acceptable to criticize any or all of my ideas, but not me for writing them. God knows I am far from perfect. If you wish to develop a better plan, take the time and make an effort. Until then, I plan to save as much of the world as humanly possible.
An American nightmare can become an American dream. Citizens are the best stewards of America.
The Constitution of The People’s Elysian Existence currently comprises sixty-nine articles designed to eliminate the role of politicians and political parties in governing. Political administrations are expensive to maintain, protect, and house. They are also prone to corruption and inefficiency. As taxpayer overhead, they can be eliminated, allowing the funds to be used more effectively.
The obvious question is, why pay for something that burns through money and runs up the country's debt? Any rational business owner would fire employees who performed poorly and ran up expenses without regard for the company's future. In theory, we, the people, own the government and pay its bills. Are you willing to continue doing the same thing year after year, expecting different results?
It is not just the expenses of a political administration, but the complete failure to confront issues dramatically affecting the planet without bias or discrimination. Time is not on the human race's side, and Mother Nature will not wait for politicians to get their act together. Denying science and burying the truth in lies is not just irresponsible leadership; it is murder. It is criminal in every sense of the word—all for money and for getting reelected to a prestigious title. What little conscience most of them had was left at the door of the capital in all but a few cases. Their loyalty was to the party, money, and power, rather than to the people they were supposed to represent. The late Senator John McCain, a good man at the end, said it best: “We are not getting anything done.” That about sums it up for any citizen. We, the people, except the wealthy, are getting nothing for our money. During the 2016 election cycle, dirty fossil fuel companies like Chevron, ExxonMobil, and the American Petroleum Institute spent more than $260 million on campaign contributions and lobbying Congress. In 2024, this number skyrocketed as the wealthy exerted their influence to make inflation the defining issue in the election.
In exchange for their cash, these companies have received billions in subsidies and favorable laws that benefit polluters at the expense of our right to clean drinking water, a healthy environment, and safe working conditions. The world is rapidly running out of time to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, dimming hopes of keeping global warming within 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) above pre-industrial levels, beyond which catastrophic planetary changes are predicted.
It is essential to note that I asked no one to sacrifice their daily life. You can believe in the immortal philosophy or not, as it does not change a thing. You can maintain any religion or no religion at all, but you must comply with secular laws. You can continue to drink alcohol, smoke pot, eat pizza, watch sports, and enjoy all the fun things you feel inclined to indulge in. You can enter into a civil union with anyone you love and use any available bathroom. If you wish to be left alone and live your days peacefully, the government will not spy on you. However, you still have to respect and follow the laws of the nation. No one is above the law, and no one can escape being cited for speeding down the freeway simply because they are an elected official. Most of the things that were legal before will remain legal. You will still have to pay taxes, but you will receive much more for your money. You will not have to concern yourself with paying for healthcare, senior care, additional prisons, illegal immigrants, redundant law enforcement agencies, ineffective politicians at all levels of government, foreign military bases, Air Force One or Two, extravagant embassies, golden toilets, mercenaries, or any education expenses like college, job training, or admission to public parks and facilities. The TPEE is an all-inclusive government with human rights as its cornerstone.
Now, you must vote, serve the public, learn a common language, and wait until you are twenty-five years old to get married and qualify to have children. Adoption, abortion, and contraceptives are provided free of charge. Women must receive equal pay to men, and no one can be discriminated against for any flimsy reason. Military service is optional, and no one can be compelled to kill another human being in the name of a country or for a crime. Workers will receive a livable wage, and usury is illegal. Credit scores are irrelevant, vacations from work are mandatory, and the state will not confiscate your money if you die. Taxes are fair, and nobody pays a higher percentage than anyone else. You are free to travel anywhere you can afford at your own risk. You are expected to work until you retire at a job or jobs of your choice. Robots (humanoids) cannot replace you, but they can operate in situations that are extremely hazardous to humans. Safety in all aspects of work, travel, construction, and living at home is taken seriously and taught to all citizens.
I wrote this book with the Arizona sun burning in my eyes and the warmth of my wonderful partner's love. I envision the world differently than others and see things as solvable problems. My designs have yet to be tested, and there is no lab capable of accommodating the experiment. My method of governing society is unparalleled. Democracy has been a grand experiment in the environment known as the United States of America. It has fostered significant advancements for people to thrive. Unfortunately, there are flaws in its foundation and gaps in its structure, causing people to fall through and get hurt. Rather than merely editing the founding document, it would be more effective to abandon it and start anew.
Humans make mistakes, and correcting those mistakes is divine. I worked to make everything clear and polished. The TPEE Constitution is imperfect; no document can be perfect, but it is easy to amend when needed, especially as technology brings change. The TPEE's National Anthem speaks of dreaming of a better world. Who could oppose such a dream?
One last thing: all you politicians and titled faux royalty are fired! The palace or White House you are living in rent-free belongs to the people, and we want you to leave now.
