Karen's eyes flashed contempt as she gave him a sideways glance. “Don’t worry, we aren’t deposing you yet.” Then she walked to the edge of patio and put her hands in her robe’s pockets. “This is the man I saw on the side of the road fixing that flat. Nothing fazes him for long. I wouldn’t be surprised if he woke up in there and started ordering you around.”
