The Fall Festival 

It's been awhile since the school year started, and I noticed a flyer up the fall festival. It was in only two days. Oh no. There’s even going to be a dance. I know it's a little corny, but I'd love to go to the dance with Blake, or, Karla, even. It would be the first dance I've ever been to. As I stood there, staring at the flyer, Karla caught up with me, and also noticed the flyer. She looked at me, and laughed. She said, as she moved her hair out of her face,

"Isn't it dumb?"

I didn't say a word at first, as I still was daydreaming. Karla realized what I was thinking, in an almost uncanny way, and asked, hesitantly,
