Blake seemed too calm. As I stared him, I wanted to let him off the hook, but I couldn't. I asked him, calmly, not letting my anger show,

"Why her?"

Rachel really is everything I hate. Blake stood there as both Karla and I looked on. He eventually answered, keeping his voice low,

"Master wants her..."

Is he for real? Come on. Rachel may be goth but that doesn't mean I'll buy what he said. A super powerful vampire crime boss wants some little goth girl to serve him? Right.

I studied his expression a little more, and realized that he wasn't kidding. I sighed, and said,
