The Show Goes On

It wasn't about how I felt. I'm spellbound, sitting here, close to her, smelling her perfume. I'm intoxicated, as I see her in a whole new light. Before I could say a single word further, my phone buzzed. I picked it up, and stared down at the message,

"Be ready on Friday."

It was Blake. He didn't want me to forget the terrible fate that we now live in. As fun as it might be, I knew that the feelings held by me were dark. As I fantasized about the dismemberment of various people, ones that I'd love to pick apart, I stopped myself. I returned my focus to Karla, and asked,

"Are we too young to feel this way?"
