Jessie seemed impressed as she stared on with the others. She smiled, and asked,

"When did you two become official?"

I hesitated, and answered,

"Last Friday night."

I couldn't say what happened that night, of course. Karla knew my plan, I could tell. Although Blake already has my heart, Karla still knows me better than anyone else. Karla said, taking some of the heat off of me,

"Yes, they're quite happy together."
