The death of Charlie Kirk while speaking in Utah on September 11th, 2025, is tragic and a significant loss to his family and friends. It is a human rights violation in that another person violated his right to life. Murder is always a human rights violation, whether it be by a gun, a knife, a bomb, or another lethal weapon, causing the loss of life of a human being. All thirty human rights flow from the right to life. A person's use of their life is to be governed by and evaluated in accordance with their compliance with and respect for Universal Human Rights, as defined by the United Nations in 1948, following World War II.
