The key to understanding conflicts, peaceful coexistence, and political realities is by what religious doctrine is in play. Religion is a potent philosophy that tends to shape the identities of all the countries in the world. This fact lends itself to why people fail to understand the behaviors and laws in many parts of the world. As in all cases of discrimination, racism, and outright hate, individuals are ignorant of religions other than the one they were born into or indoctrinated. Also, only some people have the opportunity to live or travel to foreign countries or befriend people of a different religious education. 

Our educational system has many failures, but none so glaring as not teaching high school students the basic precepts and traditions of world religions. Religion influences our times'...
