Freedom of Religion is not supposed to interfere with Freedom of Choice. Just because some religions prohibit abortion, not everyone needs to be forced into believing in the dogma. Republican efforts to embrace the Pro-Choice movement promoted by religious zealots have resulted in a holy war with women in the crossfire. The GOP aligning with organized religion is a ploy to retain political power in this country- it is nothing more and nothing less. There is no logical reason for any person to dictate what a woman can or cannot do with their body. The only reason abortion is an issue is because of a religious set of principles.
