   The spring that I left saplinghood behind for early maturity came in nearly overnight. One minute, I was snoozing with the weight of icy snow laying on my branches. The next, I was jolted from my dreams by the rumble of thunder and crack of lightning. The temperature rose swiftly triggering a growth spurt that transformed my manifested body from a skinny girl that had to lift her arms to wade through the sea of meadow grass into a delicately lithe young woman who enjoyed the tickle of those green blades on her knees.
