November 28th

My house is messy at the best of times, but today we reached Peak Mess and moved beyond it into Clutter Beyond All Expectations.

Jamie and Cal had joined my Dad at the allotment to clear old plants. The last tomatoes were ripening in a bowl in the kitchen with a banana to give them an extra push. All surplus veg had been eaten, frozen, or turned into chutney. You would swear we were settling in for a winter in Siberia.

With the lads out of the way, Hannah and I took the chance to spread out the Sewing Mama on the kitchen table.
