September 14th

Today I ran my first solo-stall.

My minion, who would really really like to be my boss (and would probably fire me within a week) tagged along. Hannah is still the best salesperson at the farmer’s market. She takes customers by the elbow and guides them over to my stand with a gentle tug and a quick bit of patter asking them if they’ve seen the local woman who handcrafts her own designs for children and pets. They’re the best gifts in the world, apparently.

For some reason her unassailable charm is invisible to me but works on customers so I’m not complaining.

As a born entrepreneur she mostly sells her tote bags. But once she sells out she is kind enough to help me. Her sale...
