I hate toothaches and after this week, I hate them even more.

I look after my teeth these days, but I wasn’t so great at avoiding sticky sweets and soft drinks when I was younger much to my dentist’s dismay. I also broke a tooth on playground equipment when I was fifteen. I shouldn’t have been messing on the slides, I know.

As a result I’m perfect about dental check-ups but this week’s visit wasn’t a check-up, it was an emergency, and my usual dentist wasn’t available. She was on maternity leave, much to her joy, and my disappointment.
