Orders are trickling in for my catalogue job. I get a discount, which is great, so I’ve bought everybody something from it for Christmas. I got a daft book of “Positive Affirmations” for my dragon-in-law with soft focus nature images. It is total nonsense, of course, but she loves that stuff.

She discovered social media recently and she’s filling her time-line with inspirational quotations about positivity. Cal thinks she’s at home every night with a positivity quotation book making her own memes.

None of them are things I can ever imagine her saying in real life. The next time she advises the world to remove the toxic people from their life I may point out that the toxic person in my life is her.
