No tags, or bags, or cards to Jay,
Your chair will sit empty this Christmas Day.
There’s tinsel and lights on the fake fir tree,
For me, our dogs, and the cats to see.
The kids are gone, doing their own things,
And you’ve flow away, with angel wings.
I remember the Christmas you knocked on my door,
With arms full of gifts, you’d bought out the store.
A jacket, some jewelry, perfume, and your heart,
No strings attached, just a fresh start.
