When the last missile icon on the big display pointed fully at its green path, Tori was too exhausted to add more than a grunted “yes” to the whoops and cheers around her.

Sinking into the chair in front of the main console, she tried to relax, but she couldn’t.

“Are you okay, Tori? Is everything okay? Did we miss something?” Gabe asked.

Tori forced a smile. “I’m fine—just tired. And so far as I know, we didn’t miss anything. They’re all pointing where they’re supposed to. We just need to watch them now and make sure they don’t do anything unexpected. In about thirty-six hours, we can start the process of disarming and converting them."
