Tori found Mr. Yi in the greenhouse alcove, puttering about with his plants. “Ni hao, Lao Yi. I was hoping I could talk with you.”

Mr. Yi set down a watering can and picked up a pair of pruning shears. “I thought it would be you.”

“You thought what would be me?”

“I thought you would be the one to come talk to me about giving myself up for the sake of the group.”

“Giving yourself up?”

“I know Hope wants you all to kill me.”

Tori shrugged. “I don’t much care what Hope wants. Never did. Which is probably a good thing, since what they’d really like is for us all to kill ourselves off. I’m here about something else.”
