Chapter 81 (Tori)

No one would let Tori even look at the message until she’d had at least two full glasses of water and a good share of the tray of food Brian had been carting around for her.

Tori felt intensely uncomfortable eating while all the others watched (except for Mr. Yi, who was taking a nap). All the eyes tracked her every movement, and no one spoke.

“Is it poisoned or something?” Tori put down the spoonful of potatoes Lu had been watching her lift to her mouth.

Lu giggled. “No. Nothing like that.”

Brian rolled his eyes. Gabe shook his head.

“There is something in the food?” Tori pushed the tray away from her.
