They were in better shape than Tori had feared. She almost smiled as she scrolled through the inventory list Brian had put together.

“So, we’re OK?” Brian asked. He’d been watching her closely.

“At least for the moment. It looks like we have about two years of food for a crew of six, plus a full greenhouse start-up, which could feed us indefinitely once we got it going. The air filters are new, so should keep us breathing for half a century if they’re maintained well.”

“And the energy?”

“Enough to keep us going. Not enough to get us back to Hope.”

“Are you sure?”
