Lu didn’t remember passing out, but she must have because she came to amidst mounds of dry goods and packing cartons. Every part of her body ached, especially her ribs, where Brian had fallen on her.

She groaned, and suddenly, Tori’s concerned face hovered above her.

“Tori? I thought you were interning in shuttle maintenance, not emergency services.”

“Nothing wrong with your memory, anyway,” Tori said. “That’s good, but I’d feel better if we could have somebody who knew what they were doing look at you. I don’t suppose you have any medical training? None of the rest of us do.”
