Gabe was heavier than he looked.
Well, maybe Tori should have been expecting that. All that toned muscle—if she’d thought about it, she’d have realized it would be no easy thing to support him as he tried to make his way down the entire length of the shuttle.
Because, of course, the rest and recreation area was at the opposite end from the control center.
On the upside, Gabe seemed to be doing his best to handle himself. He didn’t even moan or complain until they were nearly there.
Then Tori thought she heard a whimper. She shot him a quick glance.
“You heard that?” Gabe asked.
“Of course.,”
“Someone’s hurt up there! We need to move faster,” Gabe lurched ahead and nearly face-planted before Tori...
