Tori was stuck.

She’d wriggled along, squeezing herself through the tight maintenance tunnel until she could nearly touch the access hatch into the livable—and drivable—part of the shuttle.

Before she could get there, her belt caught on something.

Again.

The tunnel had clearly been designed by someone with less generous hips than Tori’s.

Every time she’d caught, she’d been able to ease herself loose by carefully rocking back and forth or feeling around for the snag and working herself out of it.

This time, though, even gentle rocking made the tunnel shudder and creak. She stopped, knowing she couldn’t afford to break anything in here. As gently as she could, she explored with her fingers, but the snag was in the middle of her back...
