Eleanor was furious. Mostly, she wanted to wring Wilson Cartier’s neck. That idiot should never have touched her little sister. But she had some anger left over for her parents. They were still—still!—balking at doing anything about Wilson, but they’d had the audacity to tell Sam to leave their daughters alone?
She glared at them both, but mostly at her father, who was staring disapprovingly at Sam, as if he weren’t wanted here, hadn’t done them all a huge favor. She didn’t even have words.
Next to her, Mandy shook. Eleanor pulled her back into a hug. “Do you want to press charges?”
“I don’t know. They’ll just find a way to make me look bad. Wilson always squirms out of trouble, like the worm he is.”
