Sam worried as he watched Eleanor head for the shuttle.

“Calm down, lover boy. She’ll be fine,” Li said.

“Have you met my sister?”

Li laughed. “Of course. She and Chan are in the same year, remember?”

Sam remembered. “OK, but Kali doesn’t like Eleanor for some reason.”

Li shrugged. “Eleanor can take care of herself. I know she's sometimes thoughtless, but it’s hard not to like her if you spend much time with her. And she’s actually pretty good at explaining things so that other people can understand better than they did before.”
