My shift was almost over when I saw him walk in to take a seat at the bar.  Samuel wasn’t too thrilled.  He had been hoping to get off early.  Something about his wife’s birthday.  There was only one person at the bar and the dining area had been cleared.  Nodding at Samuel, I grinned slightly.  He nodded back.  A simple thank you for covering him.  I could handle my acquaintance without Samuel’s watchful eye.  After he had left and I held my position behind the bar, he spoke.  “Got your letter.  Why do you need a long gun?”
