Any beliefs I had that Coach Carr ran a hard practice dissolved the first morning Jackson showed up in his fancy sports car - some kind of black Mustang, and flashing his lights like a complete idiot, told me to: "Get in, we're going shopping!" in a valley-girl falsetto. 

"If you woke my dad..."

The blond snorted. "What? He scared his little girl's out meeting with strange boys?" Giving him a pointed look, I waited for him to hear his own words. "Seriously? I think you can take me."

Not generally the response most guys would have, but I wasn't about to argue. Off the ice, taking him down wouldn't be too hard. We were about the same height, and I definitely had weight on him. Bulk mostly. If nothing else, I could probably kick him hard enou...
