Yet, AldaÑ—r was glad it went down that way. There was something more…epic, about it.

It had been a punch in the gut when First Mother Vytråna çen-Atüloköt brought up his teasing of her throughout their time in school. AldaÑ—r barely remembered Vytråna, especially with how different she looked now – how absolutely gorgeous she looked – but when she reminded him, it all came flooding back in.

She can’t pin it all on me, though. The one thing I definitely remember is that everyone was picking on her. And I picked on everyone. That was pretty much my reputation, though everyone knew it was all fun-and-games with me. It wasn’t anything personal.
