We climbed companionably to the top Circle. It was filled with echoes and whispers that I hadn’t noticed on our wild run through the last time. Somehow the emptiness chilled me more than any other Circle I had visited. Ferrous called it the Circle of Regrets. Those that existed there had become the words they wished they had never spoken or the ideas that they most wanted to take back. They called out for understanding and the forgiveness they could not accept. The words washed over me and I felt tears running down my face. Ferrous shook his head and pulled me along. He couldn’t hear anything. Minions don’t have regrets and couldn’t care less about forgiveness.
