Now we were four climbing through the sludge instead of what I had come to see as a comfortable two. Knowing I was wrong about the lesser number’s security didn’t help me come to grips with the proclivities of our added members. Boo Boo was bad enough, but then there was Myrtle.

Myrtle looked like that little old lady from down the street that everyone avoids because she smells like cat pee. When she was alive, Myrtle worked in the upholstery industry.
