Stepmothers always seem to get a bum rap, and having children of my own, I know what little monsters they can be to me, never mind anyone else. So, this version of Hansel and Gretel flips the stepmother situation on its head. (And yes, an entire package of cookies was consumed in the writing of this story).

You name it, the latest toys, the coolest tech, the last crust of bread, or the final sip of organic moon-harvested almond milk – they got it.
