A long time ago in a land far away lived a widowed King and his daughter, Snow White; and of course, she was beautiful, being a princess and all and eating three highly nutritious meals a day and sleeping on the softest beds, and waited upon by the hands of kind servants.

A bright and charming child, Snow White was adored for her diplomatic nature, her fine way with words, and lovely cursive script. A delight to her tutors – Snow White was a quick study, picking up languages and mathematics with ease, and skillful at chess and games of logic.

She’ll make a fine match, one day, they all said of her.
