The crack of the bat was followed by a collective gasp as the gathered crowed watched the crisp, white ball sail through the dazzling, blue Florida sky.  The orb soared over the Centerfield fence, where it landed softly in a clump of palm trees.  Charlie Grimm stood on the top step of the dugout and watched the young man circle the bases.  He had turned out to be a pleasant surprise, walking into Spring Training announced, and having proven himself exceptionally over the last couple of weeks.  Grimm still knew very little about Greg Johnson, who only had divulged that he came from somewhere “out east”.  Still, his skills spoke for themselves.  In addition, his rapport with the rest of the team was cementing him as a favorite.  Greg...
