My obsession led me to my profession. Since I was twelve, when I first immersed myself in the pages of Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles, I have had an ardor for the written word. This passion led to my indefatigable collecting. In adulthood, as my mania for the printed page grew, I continued to pile volumes into my small office, two spare bedrooms, and a dining room. My personal assemblage had begun to rival that of a small municipal library. It was only fitting that I would gravitate toward a vocation where I could surround myself with what I loved.
