Adelynn was on her knees, doubled over in the shade of a tall building, vomiting what little water she had left in her stomach.
“Somebody get her more water.”
“No,” Adelynn coughed before doubling back over to heave up more bile. “No more.”
“You need to drink.” It was Neba, standing over her.
“We need to get out of here,” Adelynn gasped. “Please.”
She felt a hand on her back.
“Please, Adelynn, just drink a little more water. Then we’ll go.” It was Ryl.
