“Mishal? Isn’t that the one who came for you personally? The Firewalker who runs everything? He came in here right after I was brought in and started the interrogations.”
Adelynn nodded. “He says that I need to prove what I can do by killing him in front of witnesses - meaning a sea of Firewalkers that don’t want me alive. I’ve got to get this stone heated up before the next flare in a few days.”
Ryl’s eyes widened. “You’re going to kill the Firewalkers’ ringleader? In front of them?”
“It’s the only way we can get out of here.”
“More like it’s how we get killed. If you aren’t able to kill Mishal, he’ll kill you. And if you do manage to kill him, I’m betting some of his suppor...
