Adelynn gazed about, the city coming into sharper focus as her eyes adjusted to the bright noon sun.
The city stretched out below the balcony, far more expansive than she had ever imagined when reading about the city in her father’s notebook and the various texts in her parents’ study.
The first thing she noticed - and the most surprising - was that all the buildings were constructed from some sort of white stone. She guessed it must be a plentiful resource in this region for there to have been so much of it to have constructed an entire city from it.
