The waitress side-stepped around Adelynn, heading back to the bar, still chuckling as she did.
Adelynn turned to Neba, scowling, and motioned for her to follow to one of the corner tables that the waitress had indicated.
Neba hesitated, then skirted along the perimeter of the room, avoiding drawing much attention to herself. When she joined Adelynn at the table, she wore her own scowl.
“I told you, we are not here for drinking,” the Firewalker hissed. “We need to get away from these people and you need to rest so that we can make the remainder of the journey to Enadell quickly.”
