“Aw, I’m jealous. We’ll go there next time,” he said. “I mean if you want to eat with me again after tonight, and we manage to not send one another to the ER, that is.”

     “I’m sure we won’t, go to the ER, I mean. And I think I might want to eat with you again, I know I want those waffles again,” I said, smiling like an idiot. 

     “Good,” he said, smiling back.

     Between the heavy breakfast and lunch, I had already, I really wasn’t all that hungry for dinner. So I ordered my favorite appetizer and a salad.
