 The truck came with my things from Indiana. It wasn’t a very big truck. It contained 42 boxes, unmarked. A pub table and four stools, a desk and chair, and an antique blanket chest. I had the men put the blanket chest in my room, the desk in the study, and the pub table and stools in the kitchen. The forty-two identical boxes I had them put in the dining room. There was no way to know what was in them or where they belonged at the moment.

     “It will be a bit like Christmas opening all these boxes,” I laughed.
