At this point on Feminist Flicker, we’ve dissected 18 movies and looked at their component parts from a feminist perspective. We’ve dipped into a range of genres, from a number of time periods, and highlighted an awful lot of sexism in cinema. We’ll continue to do that, but this seems like a good time to pause and reflect on the patterns that emerge when you view film in this particular way.
As we’ve seen, sexism in cinema can sometimes pop up in the most surprising film projects.
