Full disclosure: I was deeply excited about Wonder Woman 1984 before it even had a title. Its predecessor, 2017’s Wonder Woman, remains one of my favourite films of all time. So, when the announcement came that director Patty Jenkins would return with another movie about the Amazonian warrior, it was music to my ears.
