It is, by now, legend that even though Stephen King is an outstanding author, screen adaptations of his work are just as likely to be terrible (Dreamcatcher, Cell, The Mist), as they are to be brilliant (Misery, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, It). It truly depends upon who is doing the adapting – as proven by the two versions of Carrie that now exist in celluloid. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at the Netflix film In The Tall Grass, or, to use a more accurate, alternative title, ‘Gee, I wonder how writer-director Vincenzo Natali feels about motherhood…’
