The 2015 film Room is a project dripping with accolades – and each one is richly deserved. It is a delicately textured, harrowing piece of cinema. It is hard to watch, but it is even harder to push from the mind once the end credits roll. That’s just fine, though, because it is also punctuated with moments of sharp, gut-wrenching feminism that should always be on our minds anyway.
