The third instalment of the John Wick franchise is by far the least sexist of the series to date. This chapter includes three whole notable women characters, each of whom play an important role in moving the narrative along. This is a vast improvement on chapters One and Two, both of which relied upon some ropey tropes with regard their depiction of women. However, despite making such strides in representation, this story still leaves us wanting. Does that mean we are difficult to please and are never satisfied? No. It means these filmmakers are on the right track, but must try harder.
