As a direct sequel to the 1993 movie that made history and launched a franchise, 2015’s Jurassic World had a lot to live up to, and writer-director Colin Trevorrow – along with co-writers Derek Connolly, Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa – more than delivered on that promise. The dinosaurs are impressive, the cast is uniformly excellent, and the script is far better than either 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, or 2001’s Jurassic Park III. Overall, Jurassic World is a thrilling ride of a movie.
