The Amazons interrogate Steve Trevor, using the lasso of truth, and learn about World War I – or, “the war to end all wars.” He has important information about the development of poison gas by the Nazis, and he is determined to get it to the Allied forces in an effort to prevent mass murder. Diana becomes convinced that the conflict is the work of Ares, God Of War – the arch-nemesis of the Amazon civilisation. She argues that it is the Amazon’s sacred duty to protect the world from Ares, and they should go and kill him.
