1/4 cup of rice
2 cups water
1 slice of ginger
Wash rice and soak for 30 minutes.
Put rice, ginger and water into a pot.
Bowl for 1 hour until the rice becomes very soft and porridge like.
This is a basic recipe for rice congee to serve to children who have upset stomachs and it is very bland. For regular meals, you can add scallions, chicken or fish and a dash of salt.
